Hi! My name is Pat Schick. I am so excited to have your child in my kindergarten class this year. This is my 28th year teaching kindergarten at Crutchfield. 

Kindergarten is such an exciting time. Students will learn so many new things and make lots of great friends. Your child will learn all about letters and their sounds and how to put them together so they can read and write words. Children are so eager and excited when they can read and write their own stories. Math skills are also a big part of the kindergarten day. Children will learn about numbers and how they work. They will learn about differnt things that can be done with numbers such as measuring, comparing, putting numbers together and taking them apart. Your child will have many new things to share with you and practice! Please encourage your child and help them along the way
