I am honored to serve as the assistant principal of Sory Elementary.  I am beginning my 16th year in education.  I graduated from the Millikin University 2006 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education.  While teaching, I 2009, I earned my Master of Arts in Education degree in School Administration from McKendree University.  I began my career at Triad Community Unit School District in Illinois as an elementary music teacher.  After three years, my husband (Anthony) and I moved to Sherman, Texas and we both began teaching for SISD in 2009.  I have had the opportunity to grow in this district and I moved into an Instructional Technology Specialist position before stepping into administration.

As a mother of two, I want to ensure that I can inspire and support as many children as possible because I know that for all, education is the key that opens the doors of possibility. What I love about Sory Elementary is that it values family and community and embraces the fact that all children can succeed.  It is a privilege to be a part of this team, and I look forward to an incredible school year filled with growth, tradition and teamwork!
